The club had a great day at Clydes’ Cider Mill in October. There were 12 members with their autos. Barbara Coon mentioned that if you call her for some sunshine info that her phone rings 5 times before answering machine will pick up.

Thanks to John Parker and Peg Varas and Marge Lihou for the refreshments in Oct. Refreshments for Nov. will be presented by Ann Pattison and Sandy Bernard.

Bob Burdick presented a new jacket for the car club. Jim Varas did a great job modeling the lite weight, black, wind breaker jacket with a hide away hood in the collar and vented seams. Bob would like to know if there will be any members interested in this jacket, the cost will be in the area of $35, 401-539-6016.

This years Christmas Party will be at the senior center on Sat. Dec. 3, 6pm. A buffet will be presented by the Ashaway Grange. The menu is appetizers, Roast Beef and Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, butternut squash, green beans. The amount is $15 per person to be paid to the club treasurer by the next club meeting. Desserts and beverages will be supplied by the club members. Please bring a donation of can goods for charitable organization.

We still have The Gas Lighters, a group of members that are willing to assist others with any minor car troubles. You can call Tom Link at 401-782-4476.

We are preparing for the up coming year. The nominating committee for officers Donna Brustolon, George Coon, and Bob DeGoursey presented a list for November elections: President - Phil Panciera; Vice President - Dave Peterson; Secretary - Bob DeGoursey; Treasurer - Ann Pattison.
